Columbarium – Niche Purchase and Refund Policy

Lumen Christi Catholic Parish
No Refund Policy

Lumen Christi Catholic Parish advises that all purchases of columbarium niches at St Francis Xavier Cathedral, Wollongong, are considered final once payment has been received and the allocation of the niche has been confirmed.

Refunds will not be provided for a change of mind, changes in personal or family circumstances, relocation, or a decision not to proceed with the use of the allocated niche.

Once a niche has been purchased, it is reserved for the nominated person or persons and is removed from availability for other purchasers.

The purchase or allocation of a niche does not confer ownership of the columbarium structure or the land upon which it is situated. The rights associated with the niche remain subject to the Parish's columbarium terms and conditions and applicable legislation.

Requests to transfer or amend a niche allocation must be submitted in writing to the Parish Office and are subject to approval by Lumen Christi Catholic Parish.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation. Refunds or other remedies will be provided where required by law.

Acknowledgement

By proceeding with the purchase of a columbarium niche, the purchaser acknowledges that they have read, understood and accepted this policy, including the conditions relating to refunds, transfers and niche allocations.
